I adore the Surfer with every fiber of my being.. 
He's my absoulute FAVORITE Marvel character ever-- and probably the only Marvel title I pick up anymore. Anyway... I realized when I was cleaning up my room I had only did one sketch of Norrin Radd flying through the galaxy on his board--
"I betcha you can make him look real cool with photoshop...!" was the thought that came to myself.
He was so much fun to color... So much fun to draw in general. I must draw him more often... Maybe ever do an X-over piccy with him and Captian Atom, just for the hell of it.
Ahhh, so many ideas.....

"To me, my board!" I always loved that line! I got hooked into the world of the Surfer, when I picked up a book and saw this amazing artwork! The artists' name was Ron Lim, and he was truly born to render the shimmering warrior! In my humble opinion, no one has ever really rendered the character as well as Ron did! That being said, I really like the shading on the Surfer, and his board is rendered very well. I also like the added halo effect, for just the right touch of special effects! How did you 1st come to know this great character?
